What you prepare before the survey
A rough sense of budget, photos of the existing rear elevation, and any planning or building-control papers already in hand help the visit stay focused. We do not need a finished mood board.
If neighbours share a party wall or overlook the glass, mention that early so privacy appears on the first layout.
How decisions are recorded
Each stage produces a dated note on the sheet set rather than scattered messages. Layout changes stay visible so the builder and household share one source.
We keep language plain: what moves, what stays, and what the client must order separately.
Working alongside your builder
Costadisem Conservatories styles and specifies; construction remains with your chosen contractor. We attend a site meeting when thresholds or shading interfaces need clarification.
Electrical and heating trades receive our furniture plan so sockets and thermostats land where seating will sit.
Timing on a typical Brighton commission
From survey to handover, a focused garden-room package often spans three to six weeks depending on sample lead times and how quickly decisions return.
Larger packages that include glazed-link and full planting coordination may run longer when external works wait on weather.
Aftercare through the seasons
A short revisit after the first hard Channel storm or heat spell lets us adjust blinds, rugs, and plant positions. That visit is included in packages above £1,500; otherwise it can be booked as a fresh advisory.
We encourage clients to note which corners stay cold or glare-struck so the tweak list is factual.
